Looking for a safe, reliable, and experienced ride to bring you up the levels? Look no further! Hey Marseilles (Mars) is a 2007 Holsteiner/Dutch WB gelding standing at 17.3 hands. He is a gentle giant under saddle who can pack anyone around a 3’ + course with a solid jumper, dressage, and xc foundation. With handy turns and a steady pace, he could have a successful career as an equitation horse as well! I’ve won countless first level dressage classes with him and just spent a successful two weeks at the Gulf Coast Winter Classic in the 1.0 jumpers and 1.10 training jumpers. There is nothing this horse can’t do; he has an excellent work ethic, is honest to fences, and has all the buttons (flying changes, leg yields, shoulder/haunches in).

Mars has a long show history in the eventing world where he competed through preliminary with his previous rider. After relocating from Oregon to Louisiana for college, I switched to focusing on the jumpers with him. He’d be especially great for a rider who is currently showing around the .85 range and is ready to move up — that’s what he was for me! I wish I could keep him forever, but it’s time for me to head to medical school and time for him to find his new partner in crime. I am also happy to do a lease to buy situation for the right home.
