Van Gogh II

4 year-old, 16.2 hand, Canadian Sport Horse Gelding - Hunter

Van Gogh II is a stunning and correct 2014 gelding out of an Art Deco mare and by Vesuvian who is sired by V'Tropez, the International Show Jumping Stallion.
Van Gogh II competed on the line as a 2 & 3 year old with fantastic results. In 2016 he was second at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in the 2 year old colt division and again in 2017 he managed a repeat performance against stiff competition in the 3 year old colt/gelding division. He was also Reserve Champion Three Year Old Colt/Gelding in 2017 for the Canadian Sport Horse Association.
“Vincent” is currently competing in the Baby Green Division on the Ontario “A” Circuit. He has a very rhythmical canter that carries you to the jump. Vincent needs absolutely no prep and will confidently walk into any show ring. He shows amazing promise to be an upper level Hunter/Equitation/Derby prospect with his scope and correctness over fences and his willingness to please. Vincent could be the perfect three ring horse as he has schooled over hunter and jumper courses with ease. He has just recently competed in his first derby and was a star! VERY amateur friendly and could be finished off by an amateur in the right program.
Vincent has also been ridden by dressage professionals who have given him high praise on his powerful walk, trot and canter. He has balance and rhythm in all three gaits and his uphill canter is an absolute pleasure to ride. His eye catching movement would bode well in the dressage ring as well as the hunter ring. His dam competed up to Prix St George before becoming a successful broodmare.
