Thumbelina is a Confidence builder! She is the sweetest, kindest pony! Her dam is Welsh section A and her sire is a Connemara. She foaled at our farm and has been gently handled since birth by children of all ages. Her mom was sold to a well known, USEF Judge, who REALLY was impressed by not only her movement and her jump but also how incredibly quiet and kind is/was. He in turn sold her to a 6 year old little girl who was starting to show pony hunters in Texas.
Thumbelina's Mom is a fancy small Pony Hunter at 12.2 hands. Thumbelina's dad is a large pony hunter and is a typical quiet, Golden Retriever like Connemara.
She is a caretaker/teacher and very comfortable. Great for a chid who is going and also for a beginner.
Can trail ride her bareback with a halter!
She is super in the ring at shows, in the barn, in the pasture or on the trails. She will load herself in the trailer too! Plays VERY well with others in a herd!
All of my daughters are young adults now and Thumbelina LOVES children! She needs a child to love and to love her back. She has been leased out to show barns for the past while and done fabulously with VERY green kids!
For the last year she crossed over into eventing and LOVES it!
Her lease has run out and the kid is moving up to a horse instead of staying in ponies.
I was entertaining the idea of maybe breeding "Thumbie" since she is so VERY lovely in all respects. I am currently re-thinking the breeding idea since I feel like she would thrive more by being with another child. I was also recently seriously injured and can't do what I was doing before. We nicknamed her "Nurse Thumbelina" because she is so nurturing!
I am open to serious reasonable offers to the right home. (AKA I am negotiable)
If you have a trainer, please have them contact me also.
Thumbelina is currently in Woodside, California and has been showing in 3 Day Eventing.
Price is negotiable to the right home. I may even entertain a payment schedule if that's something that is necessary.
