I can't say enough good things about Count. He is aptly named -- Count Von Count is a Sesame Street character who teaches children to count. Count will have a long carrer teaching children to count strides, while happily carrying them to many blue ribbons.
This eye-catching pony combines the stunning color and athleticism of his German Riding Pony sire with the generous personality of the Welsh pony. He can be registered half-Welsh with the WPCSA, making him eligible for the Welsh awards at Pony Finals or to compete in Welsh classes.
A good mover and jumper with easy lead changes, Count will make a solid division pony. With his outstanding mind and kind nature, he would make a truely exceptional children's pony. With a few more months of work, he would pack a complete beginner around.
Count's disposition and natural way-of-going make him simple to train and easy for a youngster to ride. He has a balanced, uphill trot and canter. He is forward without being hot or strong; he needs only a rubber snaffle; he goes similarly with or without spurs and/ or a stick. He trusts people and is especially fond of children.
Count has been in training since the first of the year. He jumps around a course and has an easy, if not yet "auto" lead change. He has shown in a schooling show and two USEF shows. In both USEF shows he was reserve champion in his division (USHJA 2' and children's pony). He has even filled in for beginner lessons, teaching an 8-yo to canter. He's been off the property many times. He has taken it all in stride and is ready to start his show career. With a few more shows in the children's, Count will be ready to start the greens in 2021.
