Lousville Slugger KVS (Lewis) is an exciting jumper or hunter prospect from KVS Sport Horses. Lewis has been in full time training since June 2019, and is showing remarkable balance and ability. He has a good mind, picks up new skills easily and is very rideable. He has a calm and even temperament and will make a great jumper or hunter for an amateur or professional rider. Lewis has clean X-rays on file. He has been off-farm multiple times for training and trailers easily. He is registered with KWPN.
Lewis's sire is international jumping and breeding star Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, who jumped at the 1.60m level under Roelef Bril. As a sire, Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve is consistently at the top of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses jumping sire rankings, and has achieved the KWPN preferent predicate. He is also near the top of the KWPN 90% confidence rating jumper breeding values - 9th in 2018/19 and 6th in 2016/17. Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve foals are known for their expressive heads, loose bodies, correct legs and power.
Lewis's dam Dominka is a KWPN mare with ster and prok predicates who KVS imported from the Netherlands. Her sire is international jumping and breeding star Quidam de Revel - the highest rated World Breeding Championship jumping stallion in 2003 and 2004, fourth place Olympian in Barcelona (1992), and sire of one son and ten grandchildren in the 2014 London Olympics. Dominka's dam line is exceptionally full of predicates, including her dam Reiminka (keur), dam sire Indorado (keur), granddam Eminka (elite, preferent, prestatie), granddam sire Nimmerdor (preferent) and great-granddam Zymink (keur, preferent, prestatie)
Lewis's full sibling Jackson KVS (2014 gelding) competed successfully in 2019 at the 1.10 m (3'6") level, and is expected to move to 1.20 m (3'9") in 2020. The bloodlines of both horses (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Quidam de Revel) are similar to Beezy Madden's Darry Lou (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Nabob de Reve).
