Price reduced! Valentino is a lovely TB gelding looking for his next partner. He is an "in your pocket" guy who will greet you when you come to the barn. He has been shown at rallys through first level, and schooling second level movements. He has a lovely cadenced canter, does not rush fences, and placed well in hunter classes (4,5,3) when shown at recognized H/J show year. He is most comfortable jumping 2'-2'9". Will go over anything. Knows his flying changes but they are not automatic. Has schooled XC through BN, I took him in his first event this year and he was great over fences, but is not a huge fan of the water or ditches. He has a fantastic mellow mind, and excellent manners at shows, happy to stand tied at the trailer all day, stands calmly at the side of the arena, usually more interested in any nearby grass. I have never ridden in anything besides a loose ring snaffle, even on cross country. Rides out on the trail, not spooky. Does not whinny for other horses while riding.
Schooled over obstacles including bridges, mattresses, platforms, and dirt filled tires. Walks over and under tarps, through pit of bottles, will stand while you take off jacket, open umbrella etc. (see trail course video on bottom)
Took current owner through C3 dressage (First Level Test 3) and C1 eventing (Beginner Novice), longes beautifully and will stand nicely in cross ties. Excellent response to vocal cues on the longe. Used to being practice horse for bandaging practice etc, and happy to have the attention. Has a solid foundation in natural horsemanship ground work as well. He loads very well in slant load trailers, but needs some encouragement for straight loads. Bathes, clips, ties, easy to worm and vaccinate.
He can be hard to keep weight on. He is a slow eater, and needs time to eat away from other horses. He gets along great with other horses and is comfortable out on pasture or in the barn. Sensitive to saddle fit. He is a fantastic horse who needs a rider with quiet hands and seat. He was a confidence builder for me as I got back into jumping after a bad accident and has taken WONDERFUL care of me.
