Chic Magnet a Premium Oldenburg yearling by Chicardo (Clinton), out of a Don Alfredo mare, turns heads wherever he goes. Extremely correct, super fancy, exceptional mover with an easy natural lead change, he will excel in the hunter ring. He is a sweetheart to handle and a delight to be around.
Chic Magnet is currently in full time training with top handler Rob Moyar in Magnolia, TX. He won his first couple of shows in the Hunter Breeding ring in the spring of 2023, and was Res Best Young Horse both times out. He will continue to show on the line this spring to continue to gain experience in show horse life, trailering, being braided, seeing large show arenas. He impressed everyone taking his first couple of horse shows completely in stride without batting an eye.
Chic Magnet showed at the ISR-Oldenburg in October 2022 and earned the High Score Foal Award, and was awarded Premium Foal, again, impressing everyone with showing himself beautifully and exhibiting great manners.
Sire Chicardo was Champion of the 2007 Holsteiner licensing earning 52 bonits and was Reserve Champion of the German FN authorized 70-day Sporthorse Stallion Performance Test (2011) where he received a rare perfect 10 for character and 9.5 for jumping with no gait lower than 8 (128.58 total score). He was Reserve Champion of the 2007 Young Jumper Championship Mid-West Finals and competed up to Grand Prix in showjumping in 2012 and 2013 with Daniel Zilla before retiring to focus on breeding full time.
A leading producer of all around sport horses, Chicardo has offspring actively competing in each of the four show USEF sanctioned disciplines.
Chicardo’s sire, Clinton, was a top international jumper and ranked among the top jumper sires of the world. Ramiro, Cor de la Bryere, Corrado and Capitol I appear prominently in Chicardo’s blood. Dam Mycarda also produced three licensed sons as testament to the quality of his motherline: the “Lord” stamm 1298. He finished 6th place out of 36 stallions with over 120 points in rideability and over 120 points in Jumping. The dam of Chic Magnet, and Don Alfredo daughter, has produced multiple winners in the Hunter Breeding ring already.
