Black Pearl is a 9yo gelding by Diarado x Lauterbach x Calvaro Z bred by the famed stud of Paul Shockemohle for the top levels of show jumping sport. He has been carefully developed up to the 1.35/1.40m level with world class rider Richard Spooner in the irons. He has beautiful flatwork, rideability, enormous stride and effortless scope. He is brave, clever, and incredibly honest. He loves the show ring and knows his job. He was 1.35m Champion at WEC Ocala 2023 and jumped his first 1.40m Grand Prix with one fence down. 8/12 rounds were clear rounds and top placings. He also stepped right into the Equitation ring in 2024 at WEF and WEC winning the WIHS Overall with scores of 89 and 88.5 in each phase, was 7th in the USEF Medal, and he was 2nd in the World Equestrian Center Premier Cup with a Junior rider. We will be very selective about where this horse ends up. He is a true horse of a lifetime with limitless potential in the Jumper and Equitation ring. He is always the sweetest horse to cuddle and the most beautiful horse at the show.
