2020 Westphalian Gelding by KWPN stallion Crespo VDL (Canturo x Candillo) out of Westphalian mare Fiametta (Nimmedor x Dance Centre)
Crespo VDL has an extensive 1.45m show record in Europe, and is currently being shown in the 1.45m Grand Prix events with Bjorn Ikast on the rated show circuit throughout the US. His foals are known for their exceptionally willing, brave and personable nature, as well as being highly athletic, adjustable and balanced.
This chestnut gelding with flaxen mane and tail, along with two hind socks, is an outstanding jumper prospect with 3 quality gaits that could easily excel transferring to the dressage court or equitation ring. Will mature over 17hh. Balanced, structurally correct, and very elastic in his step.
Professionally handled since birth, he has been extensively exposed to a show barn environment. Turned out on pasture since weaned and brought in late this winter to begin preparation for under saddle work, this young horse has been carefully and cautiously brought along.
Registered with Westfalen Verband NA. Ties, trailers, clips like a breeze. Ground drives, and has just started being very lightly backed for a handful of times before he will return to in hand work to allow to grow and mature. Located in Brighton, CO.
