2013 16.3 hand Hanoverian Gelding - Jumper
Notes
Graf Rhapsody / Contendro I / Graf Grannus
If you’re looking for a partner who radiates beauty, talent and charm, look no further.
G is a modern 16.3 imported high-quality Hanoverian Warmblood gelding who has been a shining show jumper in Germany. Super fancy and beautiful mover. The 12 year-old gelding is fast and powerful on course, extremely elegant, and very easy going with a lead change.
With correct conformation and good basic gaits, he’s something of an all-round package. G has never been ill or significantly injured. He was gently trained in dressage at first and only competed in his first jumping show at the age of six. He consistently shows speed and scope. In Germany he won the title of Bremen State Champion in the small tour in both 2022 and 2023 before was imported to the U.S. in 2024.
G has already collected some US show miles and has almost always been in the ribbons. He never refuses a jump and has the temperament and rhythm to also do the 3‘3 equitation.
His sire, Graf Rhapsody, is by Graf Top out of a mare by Sandro Song / Furioso II / Solarium xx. He comes from the same dam line as the gelding offered here. The intentionally close breeding line has proven successful in this case. Graf Rhapsody was licensed in Verden, Germany in 2011, named a premium stallion, stood for one season as a leased stallion at HuL Marbach and, despite siring only a few foals, produced a foal show champion and several sport-successful offspring up to S-level (at just 7 years old!). His daughter FBW Graphik is nationally S-level victorious under Sophie Hinners and also successful internationally. The pair earned an impressive second place at the Stuttgart German Masters 2022. After his breeding stint, Graf Rhapsody himself competed in sport and was multiple-times M-level victorious internationally.
G is the sweetest horse with a complete puppy dog personality. He listens patiently and wants to please. Loved and bonded very deeply with my two young children as they knew how to spoil him with his favorite treat - carrots. He wants to connect and needs his person to bond with.
Ideal Home:
This horse is looking for a rider who has confidence and experience, someone who seeks to find a high-quality horse and knows how to nurture a horse’s spirit while guiding them in their work. Perfect for a rider who values connection and wants a horse who is as emotionally invested as they are.
