Viscount - For Play - Bernstein

Viking QTM is a beautiful colt with a striking presence. At just 4 weeks old, he received premium status at the Westfalen inspection, where the judge praised his good type, correctness for his age, long legs, and pretty head. His uphill gaits, combined with a large stride and free shoulder, showcase his natural athleticism. Viking’s confident, friendly, and curious temperament adds to his versatility, making him a promising prospect for both the hunter/jumper ring or even as a dressage horse. This colt has an impressive size and should mature around 16.3h.

His sire, Viscount, is a premium Hanoverian stallion, stood out at the 2011 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing as the highest-priced jumping stallion, praised for his outstanding conformation, uphill canter, and excellent style over fences. He completed his stallion performance test with impressive scores, including perfect 10s for free-jumping and cross-country. Viscount comes from an exceptional lineage, being sired by Valentino, who ranked in the top FN breeding values and competed at S-level show jumping. His grandsire, Now or Never M, is renowned for his influence through the Voltaire line. Viscount has sired top-level offspring in both jumping and dressage, including 5 approved sons and numerous state premium mares. Known for producing versatile, athletic horses with excellent temperaments, his offspring excel in sport worldwide.

His dam, Cirque du Soleil, is a stunning mare by For Play (v. For Pleasure). She possesses an excellent conformation, elastic and floating gaits as well as a wonderful temperament. She competed and won several amateur A Circuit hunter classes. Her sire, For Play, competed and won at 1.40m and was schooling 4th Level Dressage before his untimely passing. His Grand Prix sire, For Pleasure, is a 2-time Olympic gold medal winner (Atlanta and Sydney), and was the 2000 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.

Cirque du Soleil first foal, Corteo W5 (v. Cyklon 1083), was awarded as the High Scoring Jumper Foal for the entire SWANA inspection tour in North America and received his temporary stallion license from the Westfalen in 2022. Her second foal, First Lady QTM (v. Far West de la Violle) was awarded Premium foal during her Westfalen inspection.

His second dam, Clair de Lune, was born in Sweden. She is by the well-known stallion Bernstein. Bernstein, won his stallion performance test receiving 9s for trot and canter. High hopes for the performance career of this brilliant buckskin stallion were dashed when shortly after his stallion performance test, Bernstein suffered a severe, career-ending injury. His successes in breeding, however, caught the attention of many as a lot of Bernstein's offsprings have competed to international dressage, and are recipients of Breeder's Trophy awards and Best in Show awards.
