✨ Sunny Boy V/T Dauwhof “Sunny” | 2018 Belgian Warmblood Gelding | Almost 17hh | Scope, Looks & Exceptional Temperament ✨

Sadly offered for sale is my stunning 2018 chestnut Belgian Warmblood gelding, Sunny Boy V/T Dauwhof (“Sunny”). Standing just shy of 17hh, with plenty of chrome and exceptional looks, Sunny is the complete package.

Sunny has two years of show experience in Canada, along with previous show experience in Hungary before being imported.

He is currently schooling 1.0m–1.20m at home with plenty of scope remaining and has been lightly shown through 1.15m. I have intentionally taken my time with his development, ensuring he was confident and completely solid at the 1.0m level before moving up. He has never been rushed.

Sunny is very handy and light, goes in a simple rubber bit, and is extremely sensitive and responsive to his rider’s aids. With him, I have learned that less is more. He thrives with a smart, patient rider-and-coach combination that understands how to develop a talented, sensitive horse without over-riding or over-schooling him.

Sunny has a ton of scope and, with the right rider and program, I truly believe he has the ability to move well up the ranks. He is athletic, careful and handy, with so much untapped potential still ahead of him.

His personality is what makes him truly special. Sunny is an absolute angel on the ground with no vices and is genuinely like having a big dog around the barn. He is kind, sensible and exceptionally easy to handle — a true gem for a nervous horse person on the ground.

He ships beautifully alone or with others, is wonderful around children, other horses and animals, and is exceptionally easy for all routine care, veterinary work and dental work. No sedation or tranquilization is needed for procedures.

Sunny was purchased as an investment horse, and unfortunately I have made the difficult decision that it is time to part ways. He combines scope, sensitivity, athleticism, looks and an incredible personality in one very special horse.

He truly is one of a kind, and finding the right home and program for him is extremely important to me.
