Proven jumper who has taken his current rider from 2' - 0.85 / 2'9. Southbound is an easygoing gentleman and a great partner in the show ring. He has been shown in the jumpers over the past two years, and has also shown in the eq, hunters and hunter derbies. He has solid flatwork and an easy lead change.
Recently, Southbound was circuit Reserve Champion at 0.85 during the 2025 Terranova Equestrian Center /Split Rock show series, showing only 3 out of the 5 weeks of the circuit.
He has shown at a number of venues, from the indoors at WEC and the Rolex Grand Prix field at Kentucky Horse Park. He is happy to trail ride alone or in a group. "SB" has completed hunter paces and enjoyed cross country schooling as well.
He needs minimal prep at shows, gets along well with other horses in turn out, and requires the typical maintenance for a show horse.
He can be seen at Southeast Medal Finals in Tampa, Aug 27 - 31, 2025
