2008 16.3 hand Brandenburger Gelding - Hunter
Videos
Notes
Reniero is a 2008 16.3 Brandenburg gelding. Reni is the quiet, comfy, fancy type everyone is looking for. He is tall, dark and handsome with a tail to die for. He is well educated on the flat, and shines in the hunter ring up to 2’6”.
Reni is a stick and spur ride all day long who requires a strong, constant leg. He has a nice step, with three lovely gaits and excellent ring presence. He is well educated and a fabulous mover, and could also go in the dressage direction with success if that is what his new owner decides to do! He has a lovely, steady canter and holds his rhythm well with a solid lead change in both directions. He has a nice comfortable jump, and appreciates a rider with a low, soft hand. He is the perfect horse for the adult amateur or junior looking for a steady and reliable partner to go out and win some blue ribbons! Reniero does best in a professional program.
Off property, Reni knows the drill. He has been to some large away shows including HITS Saugerties as well as local day shows. He is the same steady guy out and about as he is at home. He consistently gets a piece of the hack and pins well in the best of company. During his time with us, he was a first horse for two different kids coming off ponies. Most recently he is fresh off a lease where he took an adult rider from the 2’ to the 2’6 and is now ready to teach his forever person.
In the barn, Reniero has the absolute best personality, friendly and sweet to all who meet him. He will politely stand in the cross ties being doted on all day long. Stands perfectly for the farrier and vet. As with any show horse with his mileage, he does have light age appropriate maintenance. Clips, bathes and loads well.
