Malbec is s a stunning bay gelding with an incredible presence, a beautiful way of going, and an amazing record. He has won nearly every hunter and equitation class he’s stepped into and has successfully shown and won in the 3’6 A/O Hunters at WEF as well as countless championships in the adult equitation. He also won NHS Regional Championships and prior to becoming an equitation horse competed successfully up to the 1.40 and has shown all over the country with extensive national-level experience.
Beyond the ribbons, Malbec is just a very special horse. He is extremely loving and kind and would be a great husband horse. He has that kind of feel that makes him fun to ride and successful in the ring. He’s versatile, experienced, and knows his job both in and out of the ring. He is extremely safe and easy to work around, and is extremely easy-going and quiet to ride, very comfortable, and great on trails.
He is currently getting back into work after an injury and is coming along nicely. He is currently sound and rehabbing from a shoulder injury, and is walking, trotting, and starting to canter again. We unfortunately do not have time to finish his rehab, which is why we need to find him a new loving home. This could be a great opportunity for someone looking for a horse, who’s kind and safe, very beautiful, and could one day make a great comeback.
