Notes
Jokes on you aka “Leo” is a big bodied gelding out of Vigaro x Leonalda. He is being sold due to my big jumper dreams. Originally I bought him as my eq/hunter horse, then i switched to jumpers, and truthfully he enjoys the 3’3 - 3’6 eq/jumper job. However, he was a meter defeater (2024 reserve champion HOTY), just doesn’t have the blood to keep up in the 1.20s. This year he was shown in the 1.10-1.15 jrs with a 16 year old who can’t see a distance. Leo is super adjustable, he earned year end awards and multiple champion ribbons at A shows in the children’s hunter/eq division, making him a 3 ring horse. He has great flatwork including counter canter, leg yields, shoulder in/out, lengthening/shortening strides, and the easiest automatic lead change. He goes fast when asked and has amazing breaks. He will jump long or short and is VERY forgiving. Leo has no stop or bolt, however he needs a rider who will tell him what to do in the show ring. He is so simple a 52yr old beginner hacks him occasionally. He is very friendly towards other horses with a funny personality that everyone loves. He is guaranteed to make you laugh! Little to no prep at shows, if it’s a cold day he may need a lunge that’s all. He has excellent ground manners, clips, will stand tied for hours, and trailers perfectly. Never the problem in the barn, doesn’t paw or crib, just sleeps! For fun leo likes to go on trail rides, be ridden in a halter or bridle less, and learn tricks (he knows quite a few!). Absolutely bombproof, horses can take off past him, bags can fly by, doors can be opened, snow can fall from the roof, dress him up like a circus animal, crawl under him, jump around him, he won’t care! Asking high 🖐️ figures!
