Crawford — Exceptional Medium Pony with Proven Record

If you are searching for a medium pony that combines talent, temperament, and true versatility, Crawford stands in a class of his own.

With an impressive resume and a kind, willing heart, Crawford has successfully brought riders up through every stage of their development. He has taken children to their first Pony Finals, given riders invaluable mileage at WEC, introduced young equestrians to cross country, and confidently carried kids through their first 2’ schooling shows. He is equally happy teaching walk-trot lessons one day and stepping into the 2’3”–2’6” with auto lead changes and adjustability the next.

Crawford’s greatest asset is his brain. He is exceptionally quiet and trustworthy on the ground — so much so that he regularly fills in for camp riders and beginner students. Under saddle, he has a naturally balanced, rhythmic stride that is big enough to step down the lines but comfortable and manageable for a child. Small adults ride him with ease as well.

Over fences, he is classic and consistent. He has an excellent, correct jump and is beautifully adjustable — effortlessly leaving one out or fitting it in as needed. He is forgiving, honest, and confidence-building while still having the step and presence to be competitive.

Crawford does wear a nose net due to mild allergies, which can cause occasional head shaking if left off for extended periods. This is easily managed and has been a non-issue in his program. We keep it on at home and while schooling at shows. With the updated 2026 USEF regulations now allowing nose nets in all hunter classes, this detail is seamless in the show ring. His price reflects this minor and manageable consideration.
