SUITABILITY - Times Square OBF, a Belgian Warmblood gelding, would make a great candidate for an experienced junior OR amateur rider who wants to bring along a QUALITY horse with a pedigree second to none (see below).
ATTRIBUTES & LEVEL of TRAINING - "Tony" is an adorable round, short backed and very sporty type, standing 15.3-16 h. He was started late and currently in training, jumping small courses with plans to start showing in 2026. He is very comfortable to ride with solid changes and great work ethic. He is brave and more of a push ride on the flat but has a motor and a big step. His jump is powerful and scopey and he is always willing to take his rider to the fences. He jumps carefully with great technique and can be quick for a jump off. This horse is a great find and very reasonably priced at the moment. After a few more miles his price will no doubt jump considerably,
CHARACTER - Tony wants to be someone's pet! He loves attention, has zero vices, is good for the vet and farrier, is unphased by most things and super easy to have around the barn. He loads and trailers well, respects electric fencing and can be turned out with other horses. Tony has had one owner who can attest to his good health and soundness since birth. He is barefoot, a very easy-keeper and lives outside.
PEDIGREE - Tony was bred by Old Bull Farms in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is a registered & branded BWP (Belgian Warmblood) gelding with "who's who" bloodlines of showjumping. His pedigree boasts Emerald Van't Ruytershof and Olympic Clinton as grandsires on the paternal side, as well as Heartbreaker and Calando I on the maternal side. The accomplishments of these horses speak for themselves. Ulanda OBF (dam) is a FULL sister to the retired world cup horse, VDL Groep Zidane, as well as two other siblings that have shown successfully over 1.40m. VDL Groep Zidane won several prestigious competitions, including the CSI5 Rolex Grand Prix* in Den Bosch in 2017 and has been part of the Dutch team in international competitions. Ulanda herself was purchased in Holland for breeding. Her affinity for jumping and incredible technique was obvious at a very early age. Tony is one of her last foals after a lifetime career as a broodmare. She threw numerous highly competitive show jumpers and several hunters including Lamaze OBF, 2019 Canadian Hunter Derby Series Champion. We are excited for another winning combination to be developed.
