Abbey has the most kind, gentle temperament which makes her the ultimate children’s pony. Safe and trustworthy yet still full of charm. She has no vices.

With her lovely type, soft way of going, and golden temperament, she is a joy both in the barn and under saddle. Even our 7 and 8 year old riders are confident jumping her around a small course. She makes her rider feel very safe and is very forgiving in the course.

Abbey is currently enrolled in our HPA – Hunter Pony Academy program. The Hunter Pony Academy (HPA) is our in-house training program at Stal de Wielbraek, dedicated to developing the next generation of top, childproof hunter ponies for long-term success in the U.S. hunter ring.

Auction founders Robin & Sam Versteijnen, owners of Wielbraek Stables and the Hunter Pony Academy, have over fifteen years of experience in running their successful training and sales showjumping stables. While Sam is known for producing talented young horses, Robin has a huge passion for talented and trustworthy ponies. What started as a love for finding beautiful, reliable ponies and educating them to the best of their ability, has developed into a stable full of incredible ponies that have already found their forever homes all over the world.
