Introducing Hero- a 12 yr old Belgian gelding who lives up to his name. With miles to the 1.25 with a junior, he drew the UNO card of every bay geldings dream and was sold in May to an nervous adult amateur who was looking to step outside hunter land and dabble in the jumpers, if only for the brightly colored jackets and matching pads/bonnets. Hero doesn't put a hoof wrong and is the perfect mount for an educated amateur who needs some handholding and warm hugs. Champion of the .80s in their first show together, as well as Champion of the .85 classic, Hero qualified his AO for nationals in Vegas almost immediately. (Special consideration for a sale that would consider lease back through Nationals in Vegas in November.)
Hero was on track to step into the 1.30 this season, prior to sale, and is perfectly capable of returning to the bigger tracks. He has been in full work, meticulously maintained, spoiled with cookies, outfitted in matching gear, and remained in an active show program throughout the summer. Majority of his show record is in Canada (#131739). Recent full vetting with ears to tail X-rays (from may 2024) avail upon request.
His new AO has mom guilt and a minimally supportive husband and has decided to downsize back to the hunter ring to avoid marital confrontation. Hero is for sale at NO fault of his own and will happily be sent to new owner with his new shiny name plated apparel, a bag of his favorite cookies, and lots of nose kisses and appreciation for his recent obligatory babysitting gig.
