Coach CSR is a four-year-old, 17h gelding by Carry On MF out of a Weltmeyer mare. Coach’s best qualities are his day-to-day consistency, his funny, engaged personality, and genuine desire to come out and work every day. With no prep, no lunging, and no calming cookies, Coach was Reserve Champion 3-year-old at the YHS National Finals. That was his first show away from home, at an international quality facility, and under two European judges, and if that doesn’t tell you about the quality and brain of this young horse, not much else will! Add that to the fact that he is also the only horse that I would regularly walk-trot-canter bareback at home as 3-year-old, and he really is a horse that can do it all!
Coach is very well educated on the flat with a great foundation that has made him soft in the contact and rideable. He is the same horse under-saddle every day, even with barking dogs, loud machinery, and foals running around. His gaits are comfortable, easy to sit, and very rhythmical. He is a brave and honest jumper for his age. On the flat he is a little more whoa than go and over fences he has his own motor, but is not strong. He flats and jumps in an egg-butt snaffle. He has schooled up to 3’ under saddle, jumped 1.15m through a jump chute, and regularly schools 2’3”-2’6” courses. He has an easy green change, has gone to his first over-fences schooling show, and schools off property almost weekly. He has been started and developed by a professional, but he is sweet and forgiving enough that he also been ridden by a junior rider who couldn’t wipe the smile off her face!
He is a good prospect for a confident amateur/junior that will keep him in full training, or as a professional’s up-and-coming superstar. Coach has no maintenance other than routine chiropractic, has normal steel shoes all the way around, has no history of any kind of lameness, and is not only any supplements. He is owned by his breeder and is located just outside Lexington KY.
